Reports suggested Chelsea had made an offer for the defender but Fenerbahce were quick to deny it.
A move never materialised with the 27-year-old firmly focused on his commitments to the Turkish outfit.

When discussing speculation of a switch to Chelsea, Kjaer told Goal: “Fenerbahce gave a statement saying it all: there was nothing in it.
“As a player, you have to close your eyes and ears for rumours, because there are always so many of them.

The Denmark international, who is under contract with Fenerbahce until 2019, is likely to have interest from a host of clubs once again when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
