Chelsea transfer boost: Conte closes in on Morata as deal with striker is agreed
CHELSEA have been given a boost in their hopes of signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
Alvaro Morata player profile
Morata is one of Antonio Conte’s top targets for the summer as he looks to bolster his squad.
Chelsea are on course for the title but will need reinforcements with the addition of Champions League football.
Diego Costa’s future is also uncertain after interest from China turned his head last month.

And Morata is on Conte’s radar, along with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
And, according to reports in Spain, Karim Benzema is to be offered a new deal at the Bernabeu.
And AS claim that any new deal for Benzema would have a big impact on Morata and his future at the club.
Morata, 24, returned to Madrid last summer after two seasons at Juventus when they activated their first option clause in his contract.
Conte had tried to sign him then but was rebuffed, but is set to go back in this summer - with the attraction of Champions League football.
Morata would costa around £60million despite failing to break into the Madrid side on a regular basis.
He has made just six La Liga starts - scoring six goals - and has come off the bench on eight occasions.
