Nottingham Forest will not sell Nicklas Bendtner today
Nottingham Forest were supposedly considering offloading Bendtner before today's 11pm deadline.
Aston Villa have been linked with the 6ft 3in target man.
The Danish striker, 29, joined Forest as a free agent in September.
TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY LIVE
He has scored just twice in 17 appearances for the Championship club and has since lost his place in the Denmark national side.
But Forest caretaker manager Gary Brazil has decided to stick by the controversial striker.
That is according to Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet, who claim Bendtner will be given the chance to prove himself at the City Ground.

Worst January transfer signings in Premier League history
Bendtner has struggled for form in recent years, having never quite taken to Wolfsburg - the club he joined after 11 years at Arsenal.
The striker spent last summer training with his boyhood club FC Copenhagen before heading to Forest.
He has not scored since December 2 and has been left out of the starting XI in each of Forest's last three fixtures.
