Man United boss Jose Mourinho in denial over Hull defeat: We are 18 games unbeaten
MANCHESTER UNITED are on an 18-game unbeaten run.
Mourinho praises United fans after reaching EFL Cup final
That is the view of Jose Mourinho.
Except Manchester United fans will know their 17-match unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end last night as Hull edged a 2-1 victory in the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-final.
The Red Devils still progressed to the final of the competition however, as Paul Pogba's goal booked them a spot at Wembley with a 3-2 victory on aggregate.
Jose Mourinho refused to acknowledge Hull's opening goal
We didn't lose, it was 1-1. I only saw two goals. I saw a Pogba goal and their goal, a fantastic goal.
But Mourinho was adamant his side didn't lose last night as in his eyes he didn't see Hull's first goal.
The Portuguese boss did not acknowledge the Tigers' opener, a Tom Huddlestone penalty awarded by referee Jon Moss after Marcos Rojo was judged to have tugged Harry Maguire's shirt inside the box.
At full time, Mourinho said: "We didn't lose, it was 1-1. I only saw two goals. I saw a Pogba goal and their goal, a fantastic goal.

Paul Pogba scored Manchester United's equaliser
"It was 1-1, we are still unbeaten. I think 18 matches unbeaten is amazing.
"I didn't see Hull's first goal. We celebrate, we are in the final. I don't want to speak about the penalty or the performance."
United will look to get back to winning ways - or make it 19 unbeaten in Mourinho's eyes - when they host Wigan in the fourth round of the FA Cup (4pm).
