But Cerezo has moved to cool speculation over Griezmann’s potential departure by claiming he is hopeful that he will stay at the Vicente Calderon.
"I don’t know what the interest from Manchester will be," Cerezo told television show Minuto.
"I can say that Griezmann will be an Atletico player for a long time."
Griezmann has scored 12 goals in 25 appearances for Atletico this season and is contracted to the club until 2021.
