After going four games without a win in all competitions, Liverpool progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 1-0 victory away to Plymouth Argyle.
Jurgen Klopp put out a largely inexperienced side, but the Reds put their names in the hat for the next round of the competition thanks to Lucas Leiva, who headed home from Philippe Coutinho’s cross.
It was a rare collector’s item for Lucas, as it was his first goal for the Anfield outfit in seven years.

They are in a great position in the league, so the big picture for Liverpool looks very positive
And Gerrard, who enjoyed a decorated 17-year playing spell at Liverpool, thinks the signs look positive for the second-half of the campaign for his former club, despite their recent slump.
“Liverpool have been very good - they have been very exciting to watch,” Gerrard told BT Sport.
“They have got a squad full of quality. I have every confidence that they will reach the EFL Final.

Liverpool, who drew 1-1 away to Manchester United on Sunday, will be looking to get their Premier League form back on track with a win against Swansea on Saturday (12:30pm).
