“Ozil is coming in today and will be assessed by the doctor,” Wenger said.
“He has been out for two weeks in bed and I can’t imagine he’ll be involved.”
Ozil has been a big miss for the Gunners who have slipped to fifth in his absence.
The Germany international has scored nine goals and provided seven assists already this season.
He is said to be locked in ongoing contract talks with the Gunners, along with team-mate Alexis Sanchez.
His contract at the Emirates runs until June 2018.
