PAUL CLEMENT is set to be confirmed as Swansea City manager this weekend.
Swansea set to appoint Paul Clement as their new manager this weekend
Bayern Munich No 2 is the front runner to be named as the successor to American Bob Bradley who was sacked last week.
Clement, 44, the son of former England international Dave, held talks with Swansea's American owners yesterday.
It has emerged that they were impressed when they spoke to him before appointing Bradley who turned out to be a disaster.
Clement is currently the No 2 at Bayern Munich to Carlo Ancelotti
Swansea co-owners Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien spoke to Clement by Skype on Friday afternoon.
And they were due to speak again yesterday as it becomes increasingly clear that he will be offered the job.
The indications are that they would like to make an appointment before they visit fellow strugglers Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
Clement will look to sign QPR defender Steven Caulker in January
Clement will be handed funds to spend in the transfer window a bid to stave off relegation from the top flight.
He will make England defender Steven Caulker one of his first signings for the club.
Caulker has seen his career stall and will jump at the chance of a return to the Liberty Stadium where he had a season on loan in 2011-12.
