Man United's January transfer with Benfica off: Deal won’t happen for this reason
MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper Joel Pereira won’t be going on loan to Benfica next month, according to reports.

The 20-year-old shot-stopper has been linked with a move to the Portuguese outfit in recent weeks with Benfica keen to add him to their ranks.
But journalist Lucas Sposito says a deal won’t go through with the youngster staying at Belenenses until the end of the campaign.
He tweeted: “I’ve been told that Joel Pereira is not moving from MUFC to Benfica. Keeper is on loan at Belenenses until end of the season.”

However, reports in Portugal suggest a deal has been negotiated for the summer.
Newspaper A Bola claim Benfica brought up Pereira’s name when discussing Victor Lindelof’s proposed move to Old Trafford.
The Swedish defender is reportedly on the brink of sealing his £38m switch to Manchester United when the transfer window opens next month as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his defence.
