Manchester United negotiate deal for second Benfica defender as officials fly to UK
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly negotiating a deal to sign a second Benfica defender in January.

Express Sport understands Manchester United are set to land centre-back Victor Lindelof next month following talks.
And Portuguese newspaper Record claim the Red Devils are also in for Benfica right-back Nelson Semedo.
According to the report, negotiations have taken place regarding a deal for the 23-year-old.

Portugal international Semedo is said to have also attracted to attention of Bayern Munich, who have regained the lead in the Bundesliga ahead of tonight’s clash with title rivals RB Leipzig.
Semedo has played 20 games for Benfica this season, helping them to the top of the Portuguese Liga.
He made his Portugal debut in October 2015 during a European Championship qualifier against Serbia - but has not represented the his country since.

Semedo boasts one cap for Portugal
As for Lindelof, United are expected to pay around £38million for the Sweden international.
Benfica officials have flown out to Manchester to open talks, with a deal expected to be in place by New Year’s Day.
Between them Lindelof and Semedo have started all but one of Benifca’s games together this season.
