Leicester plot deal for Joe Hart: Manchester City may request Kasper Schmeichel swap
LEICESTER could undertake a shock swap deal with Manchester City involving Joe Hart and Kasper Schmeichel, according to reports.
Schmeichel: Champion League qualification 'unbelievable'
Leicester are said to be wary that Schmeichel could leave at the end of the season in search of Champions League football.
The Foxes currently lie 15th in the Premier League and are unlikely to make the top four.
Hart, meanwhile, appears to have no future at Manchester City after heading out on loan to Torino this season.
And the Sun on Sunday claim a surprise swap deal could take place at the end of the season.
City manager Pep Guardiola is supposedly keen on signing a new shot-stopper. Claudia Bravo has struggled to impress since his arrival from Barcelona, while Willy Caballero’s contract expires at the end of the season.
Schmeichel has continued to impress in the Champions League for Leicester this season and the report claims Guardiola could attempt to bring the former City goalkeeper back to the Etihad.

That would leave Leicester searching for a new goalkeeper, with England international Hart available to them.
The report adds that Tottenham have also earmarked Hart, 29, as a viable target if they lose Hugo Lloris.
Spurs are hoping Lloris signs a new contract soon. But those talks are said to be stalling over the France international’s concerns that the club may struggle to compete for trophies in the future.
