The Armenian struggled to hit the ground running during his first couple of months at Manchester United following his move from Borussia Dortmund.
Jose Mourinho reckoned the midfielder wasn’t ready to play in big Premier League games, despite him being fit.
But the 27-year-old is now proving his worth to Mourinho after being rewarded with starts.
Mkhitaryan scored his second goal in two games yesterday as he netted the winner in Manchester United’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham.

Three points for United leaves them in sixth spot in the league, 13 points behind Chelsea.
But Redknapp believes the Red Devils could be challenging for a spot in the top four if Mourinho had shown faith in the Armenia international at the start of the campaign.
“I don't buy the argument that Henrikh Mkhitaryan needed time to adjust to the Premier League,” he wrote in his Daily Mail column.
“If he had started sooner, I'm convinced Manchester United would have six or seven more points.

Mkhitaryan won’t be fit to face Crystal Palace on Wednesday night (8pm) after he picked up an injury against Spurs.
