New England manager Gareth Southgate, it is believed, wants the former senior England players to be involved in some capacity at international level.
It is also suggested the FA in turn will help fast track them as coaches and obtain the coveted Uefa Pro Licence.

Should Terry take up the position, it could shorten the process of getting his Pro Licence by 18 months.
