Liverpool hero Robbie Fowler: I can't understand this about Daniel Sturridge
ROBBIE FOWLER is confused by all the criticism that has come Daniel Sturridge's way at Liverpool.
Daniel Sturridge - 5 things you need to know
Sturridge has been marginalised by Jurgen Klopp this term.
The German tactician has preferred to play three up front, which has so far reaped the rewards, although he is currently without Philippe Coutinho who is sidelined with an ankle injury.
Sturridge has been linked with a move away from Anfield in January, with both West Ham and Tottenham expressing an interest.

The media have it in for him, but I don't know why - when he does play he scores goals
But Anfield legend Fowler insists Sturridge still has a lot to offer and he doesn't get why the media are on his back.
"The media have it in for him, but I don't know why - when he does play he scores goals," Fowler told the Daily Mirror.
"I think the unfortunate thing for Daniel, at the moment, is that he's got players ahead of him who are playing tremendous and scoring lots of goals.

"A fit and firing Daniel Sturridge is top quality and we want top quality players at this club."
At present, a calf problem is the latest in a catalogue of injuries that has beset Sturridge.
Liverpool meanwhile, saw their fine form come to a halt yesterday when they slipped to a surprise 4-3 defeat away to Bournemouth.
