Liverpool coach Michael Beale has joined Sao Paulo as assistant manager
The Liverpool Under-23 coach has been linked with the Sao Paulo assistant job.
And according to Liverpool insider Paul Joyce, Beale has now agreed terms to join the Brazilian club.
Beale is an experienced Liverpool coach and has been in charge of the Reds’ Under-23 side since 2014.
Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte claimed this week Sao Paulo boss Rogerio Ceni had headhunted Beale.
The report said Ceni had identified the Reds coach on a trip to Liverpool in September.
Ceni met with Jurgen Klopp, as well as Brazilian trio Lucas Leiva, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, at Melwood last month.
Beale was snapped in Brazil this week, watching Sao Paulo’s 4-0 win over Capivariano alongside Ceni.
He is said to be starting Portuguese lessons in preparation for his role as Ceni's assistant.
Beale's exit will lead to a shake-up with Klopp's backroom staff and could free-up a position for newly-retired Steven Gerrard.

The 36-year-old called time on his playing career last month and was at Anfield this week to watch the EFL Cup clash with Leeds.
Gerrard has already turned down the managerial role at MK Dons, claiming it has come "too soon" after his retirement.
However, a role at Liverpool working alongside Klopp could be beneficial for his long-term development as a coach.
