Ryan Giggs: I want this Manchester United legend as Old Trafford assistant
RYAN GIGGS has claimed he would want Nicky Butt as his assistant if he ever became Manchester United manager.

Giggs has slipped out of coaching since leaving Manchester United in the summer following the arrival of Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
The Welshman, who was assistant to former United boss Louis van Gaal, turned down the chance to coach Swansea last month.
However, the 42-year-old still has his eye on management, and has revealed he would want former team-mate Nicky Butt as his assistant.

Nicky Butt and Ryan Giggs were both products of the Class of 92 at Manchester United
When asked which Class of 92 member he would want as his right-hand man at Old Trafford, he told Soccer AM: "What a question that is. Do I have to answer that?
"I think Nicky. He's the academy director so he's already there.
"It's the natural progression."
Butt was appointed head of the United academy earlier this month on a temporary basis, replacing Warren Joyce.
The ex-United midfielder previously coached the Under-19s, competing in the Uefa Youth League in 2013 and 2015.
Giggs, meanwhile, snubbed the Swansea job last month, revealing the club's ambitions did not match his own.

“There I was enjoying my year out … and I get the call off Swansea," Giggs said.
"I met with them a couple of times but in the end there was just mixed messages from the football side and the ownership side of the club.
"I just felt their ambitions did not really match mine, so it didn’t quite work out.”
