ARSENE WENGER couldn’t resist a dig at the media after Hector Bellerin signed a new contract with Arsenal.
Arsenal vs PSG - Champions League match preview
Arsenal yesterday announced Hector Bellerin had put pen to paper on a fresh six-and-a-half-year deal worth £100,000 a week at the Emirates.
And Arsene Wenger was in bullish mood in his press conference today ahead of his side’s key Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow night (7.45pm).
Wenger was forced to insist he never forces players to play when they are not fully fit with Alexis Sanchez starting the 1-1 draw with Manchester United with his thigh heavily strapped.

It sends out that the media will have to find a different name for someone that wants to leave
But the Frenchman found time to land a cheeky swipe at the assembled press after securing the services of 21-year-old Bellerin.
“When you give youngsters a chance to play in the first team, you want them to commit to the club," Wenger said.
“It sends out that the media will have to find a different name for someone that wants to leave.”

Bellerin was linked with Manchester City and Barcelona before signing his new deal at Arsenal.
The right-back is currently sidelined with an ankle injury that is set to keep him out until just before Christmas.
But while Wenger may have Bellerin tied down he faces a battle to keep hold of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, who are both demanding in excess of £200,000 a week to sign new deals.
