Recent reports suggested United dispatched scouts to watch Alaba, who is of Austrian descent.

And according to the Sunday People, Mourinho likes the look of Alaba and Baumgartlinger.
The pair were scouted twice during the recent international break.
The report suggests that Alaba is contracted with Bayern until 2021, while midfielder Baumgartlinger only joined Bayer Leverkusen in the summer on a four-year deal.
Julian Baumgartlinger is also attracting interest from Manchester United
Despite the pair only recently signing respective deals, it is believed Mourinho is not deterred, and will push ahead to try and secure their signatures.
United meanwhile, were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal earlier today.
