But 28-year-old has given hope to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp that he'll be fit for Saturday's trip to his old club Southampton (3pm) after he gave the thumbs up to journalists in the mix zone after the game.
Liverpool travel to St Mary's top of the Premier League table and with Lallana in red hot form.
The former Saints midfielder has featured in all of the Reds' 11 league games this season and has chipped in with three goals and five assists so far.

Three Lions interim manager Gareth Southgate was gutted to see Lallana forced off in the half-time.
“He’s being assessed by the medical team at the moment,” Southgate said. “It’s a great shame as I’ve really enjoyed working with him.
"He’s an intelligent and talents football who is starting to add goals to his game for England. He was key to how we wanted to play tonight.”
