Arsenal legend Robert Pires compares this Gunners star to Dennis Bergkamp
ARSENAL playmaker Mesut Ozil is the "maestro" of the team, claims Gunners legend Robert Pires.
Wenger: Ozil skipping international games is a good idea
Ozil has been on fine form for Arsenal this season, scoring seven goals.
The added goals have come during an upturn in form for the Germany international, who endured rocky patches last season despite earning 18 assists during Arsenal's run to second place in the league.
And Pires, who played alongside Gunners icon Dennis Bergkamp, believes Ozil has become as good as the Dutchman.

Ozil has helped Arsenal into fourth in the Premier League
In my time the maestro was Dennis Bergkamp, and now it is Mesut Ozil
"Something has clicked," Pires told Arsenal.com.
"What’s happened in the head is like a click because he’s scored a lot of goals.
"This is a difference between the last season with Mesut Ozil and now because he’s thinking just for himself and sometimes when you are in front of the target it is very important to score a goal.

Ozil was left out of Germany's squad to face San Marino and Italy this month as manager Joachim Low opted to rest some of his star men.
The 28-year-old will therefore be expected to start in Arsenal's Premier League trip to Manchester United on Saturday (12.30pm).
