Former Everton striker confirms return to Goodison Park as coach
FORMER Everton striker Francis Jeffers has returned to Goodison Park as an academy coach.

Jeffers rose through the ranks at Everton, where he scored 17 goals in 66 appearances after making his first-team debut in 1997.
The former England international's form for the Toffees earned him a move to Premier League giants Arsenal in 2001, costing the Gunners £8million.
But he failed to impress during his three-year stint at the north London club and saw his career collapse once he left for Charlton - eventually hanging up his boots in 2013.

But Jeffers has now re-joined Everton as an academy coach, looking to inspire the club's young strikers.
"I'll be working with all the forward-thinking players in the academy, trying to help them on their journey, which I know a bit about because I have been on it myself," he told Everton TV.

"I'm passionate about coaching and there is no better place to do that than at the club I love.
"You look at it now and teams play mainly with one striker, some play with none.
"Helping forwards be ready for that challenge is something I'm really passionate about because I believe the kids in the academy need more help as a striker."
