Jose Mourinho started strongly at Manchester United this season, winning all four of his opening games in August.
But the Portuguese has since struggled to maintain his side’s form as they sit seventh in the Premier League table, six points behind leaders Manchester City.
Mourinho's last win in the league game against champions Leicester last month, but has since drawn twice against Stoke and Liverpool and lost to Chelsea last night.
Ray Wilkins says Jose Mourinho still does not know his best XI
And Wilkins, who has played for both United and Chelsea, believes Mourinho still needs to find his best starting XI after last night's 4-0 defeat to the Blues.
"I don't go with people being tired - I just don't think they've got a settled side," said the former Chelsea coach, who never worked with Mourinho at the west London club.
"I just don't think Jose knows what his best XI players are to be perfectly honest.
"I don't think that's because of the competitions they're in. Chelsea haven't played but I'm sure they'd sooner be playing in Europe and would have played in that time.

"Manchester United have to start improving and the goals they conceded yesterday were very, very poor as far as they're concerned.
"We talk about parking the bus - you could have driven a bus through that United defence on three of the occasions Chelsea scored.
"They're just not performing and I think it's going to take a while for Jose to turn it around as well."
