La Liga star opens up about future amid links to £45m Liverpool move
LIVERPOOL have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Athletic Bilbao star Inaki Williams.
Liverpool's Most Expensive Transfers
Express Sport understands Liverpool along with Arsenal and Manchester City are all interested in signing the 22-year-old Spaniard.
And reports from Spain this week have suggested the Reds are now leading the race for his signature with manager Jurgen Klopp willing to meet Williams' £45million buy-out clause and bring him to Anfield.
Athletic Bilboa star Inaki Williams has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool
But Williams has dismissed talk of a move to England by pledging his future to Bilbao.
He told Spanish newspaper AS: "I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm where I want to be.
Inaki Williams has scored just one goal in his last 11 appearances for Bilboa
"I'm very happy where I am and I am very grateful to Athletic, to the fans, the club and my team-mates for their support.
"The truth is I'm very happy here and I want to stay here for many years.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was reportedly set to splash £45million on Williams
"I want to be the one who makes the crowd at the San Mames go wild by scoring loads of goals."
Williams has managed just one goal in his last 11 appearances for Bilbao, but found the net 13 times last term.
He has been capped once by Spain after coming on as a substitute in a 3-1 friendly defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina in May.
