REAL MADRID star Pepe is reportedly considering a move to Chelsea.
Pepe is reportedly considering a move to Chelsea
The Portugal international is out of contract at the Bernabeu next summer.
Madrid have offered the 33-year-old a new one-year deal, but the defender’s advisers are holding out for a two-year contract.
And now the Daily Mirror claim Pepe is considering a move to Chelsea.
The report adds the defender will be able to talk to foreign clubs and sign a pre-contract with them from January 1.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is still on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.
The Italian brought both David Luiz and Marcos Alonso to Stamford Bridge during the summer.
But with doubts remaining over Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic, the Blues boss looks set to be in the market for a defender once again in January.
Pepe joined Real Madrid from Porto in 2007, and has gone on to make 320 appearances for the La Liga club.
