Barcelona plot £70m Luis Suarez deal: Club want to avoid Neymar-style transfer concerns
BARCELONA have reportedly begun discussions with Luis Suarez's representatives over a new contract worth £70million that could see the Uruguayan retire at the Nou Camp.

Suarez has three years left on his contract but Barca are determined to tie him down to a five-year deal to stop unwanted transfer speculation.
The 29-year-old, who joined Barca from Liverpool in a £75m deal two years ago, has won two a Liga titles and the Champions League since his switch.
And Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim Barca want to reward the forward for his achievements with a contract running until 2021.

According to the report, Barca have offered to match fellow striker Neymar's £270,000-a-week contract.
Neymar eventually signed a new deal at the Nou Camp after months of protracted negotiations and a proposed move to Manchester United.
United lodged bids for Neymar this summer but they were swiftly rejected by the club.

Barca want to avoid the same situation happening with Suarez, with a number of Europe's elite clubs likely to be interested in the former Anfield star if he became available.
According to newspaper Sport, Suarez wants at least the same wage as Neymar, even though the duo are still a long way off Lionel Messi's £360,000-a-week earnings.
