Jurgen Klopp confirms Daniel Sturridge could be available to face Hull
And the German boss has now handed Reds' fans an encouraging boost after confirming he could be available to face Hull despite missing a day's training and the 3-0 EFL Cup win over Derby.
“It was different with Daniel," Klopp said. "He had a few issues after the game, he didn’t train but he trained yesterday (Wednesday).
"Now we have another two days until Saturday and we will see if he will train all the time and is ready for the (Hull) game."
Sturridge has endured an injury-hit career at Anfield so far and has been used sparingly by Klopp - starting three of the Reds' five league games without playing a full 90 minutes.
