Cristiano Ronaldo leads Manchester United to victory over Stoke
MANCHESTER UNITED 5 STOKE CITY 0
CRISTIANO Ronaldo scored his 100th Manchester United goal as the Red Devils took control of their Barclays Premier League clash with Stoke at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo powered home a third-minute free-kick to put United in front.
But on the 50th anniversary of his first game as a professional, Sir Alex Ferguson had to wait until stoppage time for a second as Ronaldo fed Michael Carrick, who blasted home from 10 yards.
Stoke were forced into a change just after the half-hour as Seyi Olofinjana limped off with a hamstring injury and was replaced by Richard Cresswell.
United grew stronger in the second half with goals from Dimitar Berbatov, Danny Welbeck and Cristiano Ronaldo.
