Watford vs Manchester United - Premier League match preview
The mood around Old Trafford has darkened after consecutive defeats against Manchester City in the Premier League and Feyenoord in the Europa League.
Both losses came after a positive start to the campaign, where United won their first four competitive games under new manager Jose Mourinho.
And Shaw, who was rested for the Feyenoord game, wants United to regain their mojo at Vicarage Road by hitting the ground running.
"We need to start the game sharp," he told MUTV.
"The last two games we’ve played, we haven’t made the best of starts especially in the first half, and we need to change that.
"We need to focus on ourselves and how we start We need to get off to a quick start and hopefully get an early goal that would settle us."
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has revealed how the club can beat Watford
United are aiming to win a first league title since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013 this season.
They beat Watford 2-1 in the same fixture last year where a late own-goal from Troy Deeney gave them all three points.
Deeney had equalised with just three minutes left on the clock after United had taken the lead through Memphis Depay.
