John Terry gives behind-the-scenes injury update following Swansea blow
JOHN TERRY has revealed he may return from injury sooner than expected after posting a training video on Instagram.
Terry had been ruled out for around 10 days after suffering an ankle injury toward the end of Sunday's 2-2 draw with Swansea.
The Blues captain left the Liberty Stadium on crutches - a big blow for the centre-back who has re-established himself under new boss Antonio Conte.
However, the 35-year-old has allayed fears he could be sidelined for some time by posting a training video on his personal Instagram account.
The video shows the former England star getting back to full strength by exercising in a pool.
John Terry has revealed his injury recovery is going well
"Swelling on the way down today enabling me to have a light jog in the pool, hopefully I can progress that to outside tomorrow," Terry wrote.
But the centre-back will still miss tomorrow night's heavyweight clash with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge (8pm).
New signing David Luiz is expected to take his place in the starting XI following his £32million return to south-west London.
It's predicted Terry could return in time for the Blues' trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal on September 24.
