Everton and Chelsea learn of staggering £76m clause: Target on verge of deal
KALIDOU KOULIBALY is set to go off the market if he signs a new contract at Napoli with a huge £76million release clause, according to reports.
Both Everton and Chelsea were keen to sign centre-back Koulibaly over the summer but had offered knocked back by Napoli.
The Naples club were under no pressure to sell after offloading Gonzalo Higuain on Juventus for £75m.
And although a January deal was mooted after deadline day passed, it now seems as though Chelsea and Everton will miss out on the Senegal international.

Chelsea were unable to secure his services this summer despite reportedly offering Napoli £42m.
They instead moved for Paris Saint-Germain's David Luiz on deadline day.
And Everton, who sold John Stones to Manchester City in a deal worth just under £50m, signed Swansea's Ashley Williams midway through August.
