LOIC REMY has returned to Chelsea to receive treatment on a thigh injury just nine days after joining Crystal Palace.
Loic Remy has returned to Chelsea for treatment on a thigh injury
The 29-year-old joined Palace on a season-long loan last month after being deemed surplus to requirements by Blues boss Antonio Conte.
But he will now return to Chelsea for treatment on a thigh injury he suffered during a training session on Monday without featuring for Palace.
The Frenchman is now expected to be out for a number of weeks.
"Unfortunately, Loic got injured on Monday and the seriousness of that, I don't know,” Palace boss Alan Pardew told Sky Sports.
“But he's not going to be involved this weekend, so it's a bit of a blow.
"He's just got a little thigh strain.
“I don't know how long he's out for, but he's had a scan on Tuesday morning and I'll know more today."
