Club confirm Everton have signed striker after improved bid
DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN has joined Everton from Sheffield United in a deal worth an estimated £1.5million.
Calvert-Lewin impressed in League Two for Northampton last season
Everton had initially tabled a £1m bid for the 19-year-old earlier in the summer only for it to be rejected by the Blades.
But now United have confirmed that Everton have ‘substantially increased’ their offer.
Ronald Koeman will be hoping it is not the only piece of business he is able to complete on transfer deadline day.
The Toffees have reportedly agreed a £30m fee for Newcastle's Moussa Sissoko, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham and Chelsea.
The 27-year-old is said to be travelling to Merseyside tonight to put pen to paper on a deal.
