Newcastle set £10m fee for defender: West Ham and Watford both interested
WEST HAM and Watford are both reportedly plotting late bids to sign Newcastle defender Daryl Janmaat.
West Ham and Watford reportedly want to sign Daryl Janmaat
Janmaat has played twice for the Toon this season and appears to be part of manager Rafa Benitez's plans.
But the player is said to be eyeing an immediate move back to the Premier League this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, both West Ham and Watford have registered their interest in the Dutchman.
Pardew: "Newcastle stronger under Benitez"
Mazzarri has focused more on attacking signings this summer and has stuck with three at the back in Watford's opening two games to the league campaign.
Newcastle are said to want over £10million for 27-year-old Janmaat, which may be too much for both Premier League sides.
The Magpies are under no pressure to raise money through more player sales this summer following the departures of Andros Townsend and Georginio Wijnaldum, while Moussa Sissoko is still seeking a £35m exit.
