WEST HAM goalkeeper Adrian has expressed his relief after he was fouled by Chelsea's Diego Costa in yesterday 2-1 defeat.
West Ham's Adrian holds his leg after a tackle by Chelsea's Diego Costa
Already on a yellow card, the Spain striker attempted to pressurise his compatriot in the penalty area but mistimed his tackle.
Referee Anthony Taylor awarded a free-kick and opted not to produce another card.
To compound matters, Costa scored a late winner with an excellent strike from outside the box.
After the match, West Ham boss Slaven Bilic said: “From our point of view we are not happy with that. I saw the tackle once again…I don’t think it was reckless. It was not a deliberate one. But it was late.
"Nine times out of 10, a challenge on a goalkeeper like this looks like a booking. Unfortunately this was the 10th time."
And Adrian has now taken to Instagram to post his thoughts on the challenge.
