The 31-year-old’s future at Old Trafford has been cast into doubt following the appointment of Jose Mourinho.
And with the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Memphis Depay ahead of him, it seems like first-team football will be hard to come by for Young this season.
Palace boss Alan Pardew is keen to bolster his ranks following their opening day 1-0 Premier League defeat to West Brom, and The Guardian claim he sees Young as an ideal replacement for Everton-bound Yannick Bolasie.
However, United have rejected Palace’s loan bid with the Red Devils wanting to sell the England international.

Express Sport understands Bolasie is on the verge of completing a £25million move, which could rise to £30m, to Goodison Park.
It is understood that the Congo international underwent a medical on Merseyside over the weekend and will become Ronald Koeman’s fourth summer signing.
