Shock reports in France: Arsenal make £35m bid for Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez, £7.8m add-ons
ARSENAL have reportedly lodged an official £35million bid for Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.
Arsenal have reportedly lodged a £35m bid for Riyah Mahrez
The Gunners are known suitors of the Algeria international, with claims they have already had a £30m bid rejected.
Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri insists Mahrez is going nowhere this summer after the playmaker helped Leicester win an unlikely Premier League title last season.
But French newspaper L’Equipe claim a fresh offer is on the table.
Arsenal are also supposedly in talks with Valencia over a £30m deal for defender Shkodran Mustafi.
That deal would be done by the start of next week as manager Arsene Wenger seeks to bolster his weakened defence.
As for Leicester, they kick off their title defence at Hull today (12.30pm) and Mahrez is expected to start.
