Man City to splash £50m on Toni Kroos: Real Madrid not contacted over raid, contract worry
MANCHESTER CITY have reportedly lodged a £50million bid to sign Real Madrid star Toni Kroos.
Toni Kroos' Germany side were knocked out by hosts France in the Euro 2016 semi-final
The move comes just a day after Schalke's managing director confirmed Leroy Sane wants to leave the Bundesliga for the Etihad Stadium.
City manager Pep Guardiola is said to be a big fan of Kroos and has got the go-ahead to make an offer.
That is according to the Daily Mirror, who claim City have received encouragement that a deal can be concluded with Spanish giants Real.
Toni Kroos - 5 things you need to know
The club have already signed three midfielders - Nolito, Ilkay Gundogan and Oleksandr Zinchenko - this summer.
Kroos currently earns £90,000 a week at Real and City reportedly want to make sure their bid is not used as leverage by the player's representatives to secure a pay rise in Spain.
The 26-year-old was linked to City before Euro 2016 and spoke out about the reports, insisting he would not address his future until after the tournament.
