Defender confirms Liverpool exit: I've heard beautiful things about new club
MARTIN SKRTEL has confirmed he has signed for Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
Liverpool's Most Expensive Transfers
Skrtel has been linked with a move to the Super Lig side for weeks and he and the club confirmed his £5.5million transfer, prior to his official unveiling tomorrow.
Speaking to Fenerbahce TV, he said: "Obviously I'm very happy to be here and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
"I've known the Fenerbahce as a team and a club already. Also I spoke with Miroslav Stoch and he told me beautiful things about the club and city.
"There were some offers from the other clubs but as I said before to a newspaper, the offer from the Fenerbahce was very straight from the beginning.
Martin Skrtel has confirmed he can't wait to be revealed by Fenerbahce this week
"Fenerbahce is a massive club and for these reasons I accepted this offer. Tomorrow we'll complete the last step and I hope tomorrow I'll become a Fenerbahce player officially."
Skrtel opted for the move, despite signing a new deal with the Reds in July last year, to seek out regular first-team football after falling down the pecking order at Anfield.

The Slovakia international made just 27 appearances last term - the lowest number in his eight-year career with the Reds.
The 31-year-old departs the club having made 320 appearances for Liverpool, with his only major trophy being the 2012 League Cup.
