Bookies update: Liverpool emerge as favourites to beat Sunderland and Stoke to defender
LIVERPOOL have emerged as favourites to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic, according to the bookies.
Neven Subotic set for Jurgen Klopp reunion at Liverpool
The 27-year-old Serbian announced his intentions to leave Dortmund over the weekend in a bid to secure first-team football elsewhere next season.
He was limited to just five Bundesliga starts last term due to a number of injuries as well as failing to break into Thomas Tuchel's first-team plans.
And now bookmakers BetStars have priced Subotic at 8/11 to join Liverpool, where he'd link up with former Dortmund manager Jurgen KLopp.
Premier League rivals Sunderland (5/2) and Stoke (3/1) are outsiders to land Subotic this summer, but the Reds are clear favourites for his signature.
“Dortmund’s Neven Subotic has already publicly confirmed his intention to leave the club this summer and has been heavily linked with former boss Jurgen Klopp,” said Ian Marmion, Trading Director at BetStars.
