Liverpool midfielder set for Jurgen Klopp talks as Sadio Mane arrives
LIVERPOOL midfielder Lucas Leiva has admitted his future is uncertain as he prepares to return for pre-season training.
Lucas Leiva wants assurances from Jurgen Klopp
The Brazilian has been a reliable servant for the Reds since his arrival in 2007 but last season he was forced to settle for a place on the bench or playing as a centre-back.
Following the arrival for Sadio Mane, manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to make further additions to his squad as he looks to improve on their eighth place finish last season.
“There have been some changes last season, with the coaching change,” he told Brazilian radio station Radio Jovem Pan.
“I still do not know exactly what will be my role within the group, but I am returning (to England) on Thursday to start the pre-season.
“It is the first transfer window in which Klopp will participate more actively in Liverpool, so I’ll just get a better idea when I return.
“Whatever happens, the idea, as always, is to stay in Europe, especially in England, which has a very strong and good league to play.”
