Arsenal set to offer £32m for Argentina striker following Jamie Vardy snub
ARSENAL will reportedly reignite their interest in Mauro Icardi after Jamie Vardy rejected a move to north London.
Arsenal have apparently turned their attention to Mauro Icard
The Gunners triggered the Leicester striker's £20m release clause earlier this month.
However the England international rejected a move to north London and instead signed a new four-year deal with the Premier League champions yesterday.
And now talkSPORT claim Arsene Wenger will move for Inter Milan's Icardi following Vardy's snub.
The report claims the Gunners will offer £32m for the Argentine striker.
Mauro Icardi - 5 things you need to know
Icardi bagged 16 Serie A goals for Roberto Mancini's side last season.
But the 23-year-old could be sold by the Italian club after they failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Icardi has one cap for Argentina and is in Gerardo Martino's preliminary Olympic squad for Rio 2016.
