The 22-year-old defender joined United earlier this month for £30million on a four-year deal, becoming Jose Mourinho's first signing at Old Trafford.
And midfielder Soriano, 32, believes the Red Devils have secured a player with 'huge potential'.
"I think he is a great player and he is a great person," Soriano told Goal. "He has a huge potential.
"We'll see what he can do at Manchester United but I think he will be an important player in the future."
But Mourinho is already aware of Bailly's talents and expects the Ivory Coast international to become a world-class defender one day.
