Rangers transfer boost: Highly-recommended striker could become free agent
BIRMINGHAM have reportedly given Rangers the green light to sign striker James Vaughan.
James Vaughan could reportedly be released by Birmingham
Vaughan is said to come highly recommended by Rangers coach Davie Weir who played with the 27-year-old at Everton.
The striker has one year remaining on his Birmingham contract, with the option to extend for a further year following a loan move from Huddersfield last season.
And Queens Park Rangers and Croatia international Niko Kranjcar is also said to be close to moving to the Ibrox.
Kranjcar’s lawyer Emil Zgur said: “Niko is coming to Glasgow for a medical on Wednesday. He wants to show that he is fit enough. Everything depends on the medical.”
