Kolo Toure has expressed his delight at Manchester United signing Eric Bailly.
The £30million deal was the first acquisition of the Jose Mourinho era.
And 35-year-old Toure, who was released by Liverpool, believes Bailly's move is excellent news for the Ivory Coast.
"We’re proud of Eric. We’re all very happy for his move to Manchester United," Toure told Sport Ivoire.
"He’s a calm guy who works a lot, and today, this work has been noticed by one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
“It’s the whole country who’s honoured.”
United have reportedly made a bid for Julian Draxler.

Wolfsburg are thought to be demanding around £38.5m for their prized asset.
And according to Italian news outlet TransferMarketWeb, United have launched a bid for Draxler although it is unclear as to how much has been offered.
Wolfsburg's sporting director Klaus Allofs, has already insisted Draxler isn't for sale as he said: "We always say that we listen to everything.

"That expressively does not apply for Andre [Schurrle] and Julian.
"We don't want to sell them, we want to return to the Champions League with them."
Draxler is currently contracted with Wolfsburg until 2020.
