However, the report claims Juve are getting closer to a deal after reportedly agreeing Gomes' personal terms with agent Jorge Mendes.
Talks with Valencia are said to be slow but ongoing and Juve hope to secure a deal that could help convince star man Paul Pogba to remain in Turin.
As for Chelsea, the Blues are unlikely to conclude any deals before manager Antonio Conte arrives in west London following his campaign with Italy at Euro 2016.
