New Aston Villa chairman to inject £30m transfer fund as takeover is completed
ASTON VILLA have reportedly been taken over by Dr Tony Xia in a deal worth £76million.
Villa fans have been desperate for the club to be sold
Previous owner Randy Lerner had been actively trying to sell the club and fans have held protests against his ownership of the club.
The American bought Villa in 2006 for £62.6m and enjoyed relative success with four top-ten finishes in the Premier League in his first five seasons.

And Villa have also appointed a new vice-chairman in the form of Chris Samuelson.
The international financier has previously been involved in a failed takeover at Reading and was also part of a group that tried to invest in Everton more than 10 years ago.
Samuelson is said to have played a key role in securing Xia as the new owner and introducing him to new chief executive Keith Wyness, who has previously fulfilled the same role at Aberdeen and Everton.
