Tottenham and Manchester United battling for £19.5m star: Chief confirms Spurs talks
TOTTENHAM are in talks with Palermo to sign Franco Vazquez, according to the club's president.
Zamparini believes Vazquez is a valuable player but is ready to let him go
Vazquez joined Palermo from Argentinian outfit Belgrano in 2012 but failed to make an impact in the first-team until 2014.
The Italian international has 18 goals in his last two seasons but Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini confirmed last month he is ready to sell the player with a number of clubs interested.
But now he has revealed for the first time his negotiations with Spurs specifically.
"He'd be great wherever, I don't know why he’s so underrated.
"He’d be good at Leicester, Milan and Roma made were interested but if I see Berardi going for 25 million [Euros] then I'd take Vazquez."
