Jamie Vardy to Arsenal: Striker to confirm decision today, Leicester race to make offer
LEICESTER CITY are facing a race against time to stop Jamie Vardy's transfer to Arsenal.
Jamie Vardy will reportedly decide today whether or not to join Arsenal
Arsenal have triggered the England striker's £20million release clause and a transfer could be completed before England's first game of Euro 2016 against Russia on Saturday.
Vardy is said to be considering the proposal and could respond to Arsenal before he board's their flight to France at 11.30am today.
But Leicester will reportedly offer the 29-year-old a new contract in a last-ditch attempt to keep him at the King Power Stadium.
Vardy only signed a new £60,000-a-week contract with Leicester in February that runs until 2019 but his relatively low contract clause was always likely to draw summer suitors.
He would likely compete for a starting role alongside Gunners striker Olivier Giroud, although the France international hinted that the pair could play up front together at the Emirates next season.

“I have been told that Jamie wants to join us and it's very good news for us - I think we can be complementary,” said Giroud.
"He's a fantastic player, so it's good news for us."
The BBC claim a decision from Vardy is expected before noon as the player seeks to avoid a clash with his Euro 2016 preparations.
