Man United reach agreement for first Jose Mourinho signing: Villarreal defender deal close
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly closing in on a deal for Villarreal defender Eric Bailly.
Eric Bailly looks to be on his way to Manchester United
Spanish newspaper AS say the Red Devils have agreed to pay a fee close to the 22-year-old's £31.3million release clause.
Only personal terms need to be agreed with the Ivorian, who made 34 appearances for Villarreal last season.
United have been linked with a host of defenders including John Stones, Raphael Varane and Kostas Manolas.
But it appears Bailly will become Jose Mourinho's first signing.

And Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be the next man to arrive at Old Trafford with Sweden coach Erik Hamren confirming he will allow his players time off, which could lead to the completion of the 34-year-old's move.
"We have days off. We plan our activities and the players can act based on that," Hamren said.
