Euro club make £7m offer for Liverpool ace: Long-serving player set to leave this summer
MARTIN SKRTEL could be set to leave Liverpool.
Besiktas has offered Martin Skrtel the chance to leave Liverpool
The 31-year-old has been at Anfield since 2008 after signing from Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg for £6.5million and has made 320 appearances for the club.
Skrtel is currently with Slovakia preparing for Euro 2016, but is expected to depart Liverpool before next season.
Express Sport understands Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is planning an overhaul of his squad ahead of his first full season in charge and the centre-back could be set for the chop after falling out of favour under the German.
Skrtel’s season was curtailed by a hamstring injury he sustained against Watford in December, which ruled him out for three months and saw him lose his place in the squad to Kolo Toure.
To make matters worse for the Slovakian, Klopp has already moved to sign Joel Matip on a free transfer from Schalke.
Dejan Lovren has established himself as a regular under Klopp, and Mamadou Sakho is likely to feature prominently if there are no ramifications from his failed drugs test.
Sakho has already served a 30-day provisional suspension, but looks reportedly set to escape punishment.

And with Joe Gomez also underlining his intentions to play in the heart of defence, this plunges Skrtel’s future further into doubt
In light of this, the Daily Mail report Turkish champions Besiktas have made a £7million offer for Skrtel.
It is said Besiktas boss Senol Gunes is in the market for defensive reinforcements as he looks to bolster his ranks ahead of next season’s title defence.
At Euro 2016, Skrtel will face England in the group stages of the tournament with Slovakia.
